There was a time I was totally into time travel medieval Scottish romances, but then I found a fondness for just medieval Scottish romances. This book has me hooked once more. It was intense, filled with such love between Iain and Katherine. Love so powerful and beautiful you wish it was yours. So many ups and downs that it keeps you on the edge of your seat! Climatic suspense makes it so hard to put the book down. Highly recommend!

I literally could not put this book down! Thoroughly compelling with a satisfying ending to boot. Highly recommend!
Omg! I did not want this story to end! I was totally engulfed in this story of Katherine &Iian. The characters were so alive and colorful, and the scene equally vibrant in my minds eye so to say... The history itself, the time period both past and present blended together magnificently! This one is a keeper!
This has become one of new favorite time travel romance novels. From the very first few pages Dee Davis captured my attention and never let it go. From the passion and the adventure to the mystery and magic, it was just never boring and I never wanted to put it down.
As A ,Knight in Shining Armor is one of my favorites, this book is right up there in believability. I am now looking forward to the rest of the series.
This is a good time travel romance, with a likable couple. There were a few things that weren't fully explained -- like how the time travel happened, and what happened when her brother discovered she had left their century the last time. But for the most part, it was a good story, which held my interest. I did enjoy it, but haven't decided yet of I will continue the series, since all the books appear to be standalones.
...golly but this Author sure can write an intimate love scene! I mean...YOWZA!! Full of sweet description and transporting the reader to an exquisite place of time. The fire, the powerful feelings and sensations. Yummmmmy. The story starts off with a five star BANG!

In a nutshell, Katherine St. Claire thinks she's dreaming when in actuality she has traveled 500 years into the past (1467) - - meet's Iain Mackintosh and they fall in love...a profound love like no other. When she walks away from Iain, leaving him asleep, she awakens back in her time...the 20th century. She eventually makes it back to Iain 8 years later and vows to never leave him again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story in spite of its predictability. Full of both serious and humorous moments, the story is told very well. Yes, there are a few loose threads and the characters could've been more detailed with character trait descriptions (the age of the characters at least), but these missing pieces never seemed to detract from the plot. Parts of the story were sometimes purile or adolescently written, but still so much fun and hard to put down. I loved the humor (imagine being in 1467 and hearing someone singing "Benny and the Jets"!!) I love it!! Hilarious.

I loved both of these characters (as well as sub-characters)...but most especially Iain and his POV. I thought it strange at how quickly and easily..almost nonchalantly Iain accepts Katherines story of being from the future. Like it was a common occurance. But I loved that he never doubted her or thinks she's crazy. He adores her and vows to keep her.

This was my first read by this Author...I'm anxious to read the second installment of her time travel series.
I put this book down several times and even thought briefly about returning it, but then I decided to give it one more go. I'm glad I did, because the author did some interesting things with the time travel element of the story. She also brought in secondary characters and made them essential to the resolution of the story, something I don't often see in romance. This book is worth taking the time to get into.
